Why work for Impact Academy?
We are always looking for passionate teachers who are committed to working with urban students in small, academically rigorous high schools that use college prep curriculum aligned to the Common Core Standards, project-based learning, art and technology, holistic grading, and performance assessments to engage students.
Our history of success is due in part to our amazing team of educators. Impact engages and teaches urban students the 21st Century Leadership Skills they need for success in college and life. Most of our students are the first in their family to attend college and their success has shown that, with the right educational model and team, all students can succeed.
Envision Schools offers an opportunity to grow professionally within a supportive environment. For new teachers, we offer over two weeks of Professional Development, classroom observation performance review focused on goal setting and feedback, guidance from Lead Teachers, student support through a Response to Intervention (RTI) model and an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), and the opportunity to be a student advisor. Second year teachers receive a customized Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) program. For seasoned teachers, Impact is also a place to work in a creative team environment, utilize innovative strategies, and work as a Lead Teacher. Seasoned teachers may also decide on an administrative track position, to provide input into curriculum and design, participate in program development, deliver professional development and implement intervention strategies.
