We’re here to celebrate Black culture in the dopest ways possible. Whether you’re grabbing some fire soul food during Mix It Up (yes, we’re selling!), vibing to tracks that shaped history (and the ones running the charts today), or just kicking it with the vibrant Black youth on campus, BSU is where it’s at. BSU is a space for every Black student and ally on campus who wants to be around more minorities, creating a majority as a community!

M.E.Ch.A is a club that aims to prompt social awareness about the Hispanic/Latinx community in a school setting. We are a club open to everyone who wants to learn more about hispanic culture. We love to celebrate our heritage by speaking in Community Meetings, selling taco and snacks that represent our culture, hosting car shows and more! Join us!

In BC2M (Bring Change 2 Mind), we discuss many topics related to and enhancing our ability to learn about our individual and collective mental health in a judgment free, warm welcoming environment. Most of our projects are geared directly towards fun-filled activities such as candle making, good bags for seniors applying for colleges, tasty treats at events such as “Mix-It-Up!”, and a summit meeting of students from BC2M clubs all around the bay area. We also discuss tangible, small steps a person can make in their journey to understanding their own perspectives on life with easy ways to improve such as hiking in nature, recommitting to drinking enough water everyday, a sustainable sleep schedule, hobbies with artistic trends and many more. We meet Tuesdays in room 32 at lunch. Come one, come all!

The election will take place on Sept. 5th, and we encourage all families to support their children in participating and voting. As part of the election process, candidates will deliver campaign speeches in front of the entire school on the 4th and 5th.

AP African American Studies is an interdisciplinary course that examines the diversity of African American experiences through direct encounters with rich and varied sources. Students explore key topics that extend from early African kingdoms to the ongoing challenges and achievements of the contemporary moment.
